WonderPlay Studio space for co-working and creativity.

A neuroinclusive haven in central Sydney, designed for you to do your best work. Work and play within a community of creatives and social impact leaders, using different zones for focus, collaboration, creativity, meetings and gatherings.

It’s designed to reduce cognitive load. You can arrive exactly as you are. You can work quietly or collaboratively, dip in and out of connection and focus deeply when you need to. Your energy can return to thinking, creating and meaningful work.

Impact Innovators

For founders, business owners and social impact leaders with a project that needs real attention.

Impact Innovators brings together up to six leaders for four weeks of protected time and a room of peers. This isn’t a course, there’s no curriculum, no deliverable to perform, no pitch event to survive. You bring the work you never get to focus on, because you’re always running the organisation, and we give you the space to actually do it. Your project. Your pace. Five other people in the room who understand what it is to carry something.

  • Four weeks of dedicated studio access to work on a project of your choosing
  • Up to five other impact leaders working alongside you, in the same room
  • A weekly Munch and Magic session: share what you’re stuck on, draw on the group’s expertise and back each other’s enterprises
  • A space designed for focus, not performance

Runs four consecutive weeks, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm, at WonderPlay Studio (Level 2, 101–111 William Street, Darlinghurst NSW).

Six leaders per cohort. You don’t need to be there every hour — but it works best if you can block substantial, regular time across the four weeks rather than dropping in occasionally.

Need access outside business hours? Let us know and we’ll do our best.

For anyone leading social impact work with a project that rarely gets real attention — a strategy you keep deferring, a model you need to rethink, a grant you need to write. It’s not a program with a fixed output, a public pitch event, or a structured course with someone at the front. The value is the time, the room, and the people in it.

Writers in Residence

For writers of any form or medium — fiction, poetry, playwriting, screenwriting, memoir, hybrid work.

Writers in Residence is a four-week intensive residency at WonderPlay Studio in Darlinghurst, hosted in partnership with Little Goat Arts & Entertainment and Wondiverse. Four writers are given the time, space, and creative support to develop new or existing work, drawing on the spirit of Writers at Play — experimentation, collaboration, and the playful discovery of ideas — with the sustained focus of a dedicated residency. The residency culminates in a public presentation where each writer shares work developed during their time in the studio.

  • Four weeks of dedicated studio access at WonderPlay Studio, Monday–Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm
  • A cohort of four writers working alongside you, with collaboration and cross-pollination of ideas actively encouraged
  • Support to start something new or push forward on an existing draft
  • Free access to Writers at Play, our monthly creative gathering, during your residency
  • A public presentation to share your work at the end of the residency

Writers of any medium or form — fiction, poetry, playwriting, screenwriting, memoir, and hybrid work. Whether you’re getting started on something new or getting focused on the next draft, this residency supports both. Each writer is expected to be present and engaged at WonderPlay Studio for the full four weeks.

The residency concludes with a public presentation at WonderPlay Studio, where each writer shares an excerpt from their work-in-progress. It’s a celebration of process as much as outcome, and audiences are welcomed into that spirit.
